Review class expectations and how to enter the press room.
Review warm-ups – YB kids are to go to typing pals or typing games for 5 minutes.
Newspaper kids should go to the online E-Edition of the Austin American-Statesman and should be able to tell you what is in the news each day – Headline News and Sports News
Take roll each day. Use seating chart.

Monday January 11– Photographers on Duty this week –
POD listing to be placed on board by Griffin - Look at BB schedule so we have photographers for both games each week - GBB home and BBB home.
PP over Supreme Court Cases - Tinker vs Des Moines
Tuesday, January 12 – Supreme Court Cases - Bethel vs Frazier
Discuss and role play this case.
Wednesday, January 13 - Supreme Court Cases - Hazelwood vs Kuhlmeir
Handout  - Please make 100 copies  prior to class - 2 sided copy.
 Review the Graphic Organizer - Supreme Court Cases.  Online test on Friday. Tomorrow is the LOVE IN and Peace Demonstration Day.
Thursday, January 14– SPOT is in the gym at 7:50 AM - Bethany, Julia, Remy & Patsy are to retrieve Sony cameras in gym from Mrs.Embry. Gals to decide who will take 6th - 7th - and 8th grade SPOT pics. Return cameras to Mrs. Embry. Griffin - Please download these pics to Yearbook - Make a file for SPOT - Within that file - make 3 files - one for 6 - one for 7 and one for 8. I will let Ms Embry know where theya are housed so she can upload them to a company that will print digital prints.
In class - Make black arm bands using  construction paper. Construction paper is in the office vault OR you can use the black bulletin board paper in the workroom. Here is the file for kids to  recreate for arm bands. Here is a second file. These can be recreated by students using Photoshop or they can simply print these and color and tape them to their arm band.
Play Jimi Hendrix music (in my drawer). Ask kids to bring in lava lamps or a strobe light for effects. I usually bring flowers for the students to wear in their hair. They FIND themselves on this day and reenact the Tinker vs Des Moines Case.
Friday, January 15 – Review for test using Graphic Organizer. Students will then take this online test. I will send you the scores so you can enter them.
